Ad of The Day- The Guardian- Own The Weekend
To be honest this Guardian advert didn’t please me as much as their Three Little Pigs advert last year, however I do appreciate their efforts in this campaign entitled “Own The Weekend”. Aiming to show consumers that their Saturday Guardian newspaper and their Sunday Observer magazine contain all information anybody would want to know for their weekend, agency BBH have developed this humorous (and slightly action packed) advert starring Hugh Grant, to encourage people to talk about the brand owning the weekend. A hashtag “#OwnTheWeekened” has also been introduced so twitter and other social media can be used for conversation.
