Ad of The Day- Barclays- You Vs Unconditional Love

Barclays have taken a very humorous and sarcastic approach with this advert for their new “Family Springboard” mortgage. The poor father in the advert who’s daughter rinses him for all that he is worth throughout the ad, grabs a little bit of joy at the end of the advert when his daughter (now a mother) has to do the same for her son. The statement of “what goes around, comes around” is used brilliantly by the narrator, as not only do the target market of parents now know that they can get their money back in 3 years that they invest into their children, but also that their children will get what’s coming to them! Very funny and get’s the point across well.
