Ad of The Day- McDonald’s- “Dave”
I really like how this advertisement by Leo Burnett has been executed for McDonald’s. The realness of the ad drew me in, I felt like I was watching a story unfold that could be happening to many people across the UK right now. The detail expressed, even when the boy pulls the gherkin from the burger (I do the same), is crucial for target audiences to connect and see themselves within the characters involved. To end, a simple strap-line “We all have McDonald’s in common”, gives the advert a sense of togetherness and has an emotional appeal especially towards families. Lovely.
