Ad of The Day- Macmillan Cancer Support – “Not Alone”
I really think that this advert is beautiful. The delivery of such an emotional message has been played out just right, using both audio and visual elements in sync to develop a powerful advert. The story represents the impact when people are told they have cancer, the visuals capturing the feeling of confusion and shock through “falling”. I think this advert is powerful enough to make the general public think twice about what the charity is offering these people in their time of need, and how everybody can offer support. I love that the advert shows the people that aren’t necessarily connected to the person who has cancer, supporting them when they are feeling most alone. This emotional appeal is great in calling people to donate to the charity, helping just that little bit to prevent cancer patients from feeling alone.
